Have you noted how Health Practitioners always wish to test your blood pressure & get quite troubled when it gets too high? They test your blood pressure because high blood pressure can cause many health problems. In the western world elevated blood pressure is a major precursor to death from things such as, stroke, sudden cardiac death, coronary & congestive heart failure.
When your heart pumps, it pushes blood thru your arteries causing blood pressure. It is the force of your blood pushing on the walls of your arteries. If you had no blood pressure you would be deceased as your heart would have stopped. Doctors consider an amount of 120/80 mm Hg to be the very best.
Although some blood pressure is a good thing, too much is a not a good thing thing. If your blood pressure gets over 140/90 mm Hg things can start to go screwy. If it goes too high, like 180/110 mm Hg or more than that, certain changes will begin to become evident like headaches, shortness of breath, nausea & vomiting, dizziness, vision problems, nose bleeds & shuddering.
In a healthy body the arteries are in an elastic state. The pumping action of the heart causes healthy arteries to give a little to absorb the pressure that each beat of the heart causes. However if the arteries are stiff they are not able to adjust with the pressure. The result is a gain in blood pressure.
How does this stiffness develop? Genetics, the aging process, smoking, over weight problems too much stress, not enough exercise, too much salt & saturated fat can all have an effect. Even high blood pressure itself causes the arteries to harden so that the entire process ends up feeding on itself.
This is how it occurs. When an artery starts to stiffen, blood is compelled to move faster; this quicker moving blood can damage fragile cells on the walls of the artery, these become places where plaque can be deposited making the artery even narrower. The heart then pumps more rapidly which makes the blood flow faster & the process over time becomes worse until the heart gives up.
Can anything be done to stop this? Paying attention to the following is a good idea. Avoid cigarettes, get plenty of healthy weight loss exercise, stay away from fast foods with a high sodium content & eat more fruit & vegetables and foods with a high potassium content.
Nitric Oxide & Cayenne Pepper have also been shown to help keep your arteries clean. Nitric Oxide is one of the best methods to keep your arteries elastic which may increase blood flow & reduce blood pressure; it’s available in the form of a tablet.
The herb Cayenne Pepper has the outstanding quality of having the ability to clean your arteries as well as stop the building up of cholesterol & plaque. It also melts existing deposits. Cayenne can be taken as an extract or mixed with water. Cayenne pepper is very hot so you actually need to swallow it as quickly as you can. The trick’s to get it thru your mouth as quickly as possible because the ends of the nerves that sense the heat are mostly in your mouth instead of your throat or stomach. Luckily it’s also available in capsules which makes it far easier to take.
